“A neutral, respectful and child-focused environment.”

What Is Unitas?

Structure, neutrality and support when families need it most.

Unitas Family Services provides specialized, family-focused services designed to create greater safety, structure and predictability during challenging family transitions.

We provide supervised parenting time, supervised exchanges and supervised transportation in a neutral, respectful and child-focused environment.

Families may come to Unitas through a court order or parenting arrangement, a referral from a lawyer or other professional, a government or community organization, or by contacting us directly.

Our Services

Practical support for important family connections.

01

Supervised Parenting Time

A trained Family Support Worker is present during parenting time to support a calm, child-focused environment and make objective observations. Parenting time may be required through a court order, parenting agreement or professional referral. Families may also choose supervision voluntarily when they would benefit from additional structure or a neutral professional presence.

02

Supervised Exchanges

Structured arrival, transfer and departure procedures help children move between parents or caregivers without requiring direct adult contact. This can help reduce tension around transitions and create a more predictable experience for children and families.

03

Supervised Transportation

Planned transportation can support children moving safely between approved caregivers, parenting time, appointments or other agreed family-related arrangements. A Family Support Worker accompanies the child according to the arrangements established during intake.

Our Approach

More than supervision.

What makes Unitas different is the approach behind our services. Our team receives ongoing internal and external training, and our service model is informed by an understanding of how stress, relationships, development and past experiences can affect children and families during difficult transitions. We focus on creating clear expectations, maintaining professional boundaries and providing consistent, thoughtful service.

Regulate Predictability first, reducing unnecessary stress.
Relate Building respectful, professional relationships.
Reason Helping people move toward practical next steps.

This is not therapy, a custody assessment or legal advice. Our role is to provide practical, structured and trauma-responsive family services.

Training & Service Quality

Training is part of our service model.

Unitas invests in ongoing internal and external training for team members. Training is not treated as a one-time onboarding requirement — our team continues developing knowledge and skills related to professional boundaries, documentation, safe service delivery and trauma-responsive practice.

This commitment to continued learning supports greater consistency and helps us provide families and referral partners with a professional, thoughtful and dependable experience.

Who We Serve

Support when families need additional structure, neutrality or supervision.

Unitas supports children and families who need additional structure, neutrality or supervision to safely maintain important family connections.

Families may come to Unitas:

  • Through a court order or parenting arrangement
  • Through a referral from a lawyer or other professional
  • Through a government or community organization
  • By contacting us directly

Families may be navigating separation, high conflict, changes in parenting arrangements, court involvement, family violence or other circumstances where supervised parenting time, exchanges or transportation may provide additional structure and safety.

Safety. Neutrality. Connection.

We do not take sides or make decisions about parenting arrangements. Our role is to provide a neutral, structured and respectful service where children and families know what to expect. Where documentation forms part of the service, it focuses on relevant events and direct observations rather than diagnosis, speculation or personal opinions about parenting arrangements.
